Propzee ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect personal data when you use our website and services, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India)("DPDP Act").
What data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, and authentication identifiers when you register or sign in (including via Google, Facebook, email/password, or magic link).
- Property and listing data: information you submit about properties (descriptions, locations, media, contact preferences).
- Search and usage data: filters, queries, and interactions on the platform to improve relevance and product experience.
- Contact and enquiries: messages or enquiries you send to listers or to us.
Why we collect it
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To display, match, and promote property listings you are interested in.
- To communicate with you about your account, listings, and (where you opt in) marketing.
- To improve security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
How it is stored
Data is processed and stored using Supabase and related infrastructure. Industry-standard measures apply, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and encryption at rest as provided by our hosting and database providers. Passwords are never stored in plain text; Supabase Auth uses secure password hashing.
Your rights under the DPDP Act 2023
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data and understand how it is processed.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your personal data where applicable, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Withdraw consent for processing based on consent, where relevant.
- Grievance redressal through our Grievance Officer (see below).
Data retention
We retain personal data while your account is active and as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we aim to purge personal data within 30 days, except where a longer period is required by law or for legitimate security or dispute-resolution purposes.
